Framlingham Hockey Club originally started out as Carlton Park Ladies. We moved to Framlingham, became affiliated with Framlingham Sports Club and had a name change.
The club currently consists of two ladies league teams, a junior girls team and a junior boys team. The latter was started in September 2017 with help from Sport England lottery funding.
Through the development of the boys' squad, the aim is to eventually have a men's team playing regular league hockey.
All our matches are played on a Saturday and home matches are played on either of the two astro turf pitches at Framlingham College.
The first team are currently playing in the East Region, Division 3 North East (South). The second team are in the East League, Division 4, North East (South).
Juniors U14's, U12's, U10's and U8's play informal mini tournaments with local clubs and In2hockey tournaments.
Training is on Wednesday evenings during the playing season 6.30pm to 7.30pm for junior boys and girls (9-12 years) and 7.30pm to 8.30pm for seniors (13 years and over).
Ages from 9 years upwards and all abilities are very welcome to these sessions. No experience necessary, you just need to provide your own mouth guard and shin pads and give it a go.
6-8 year old boys and girls 'give it go' sessions are normally held by us at Thomas Mills High School on Sunday mornings over six week periods. Please check below and the news page for more information.
